Puritans & Terminal Illness

Can it be true? A person suffering a terminal illness in Australia may not have prescribed to them the best opiate to mitigate pain and suffering - heroin!?

No, in Oz we must suffer the prescription of "ordinary" old morphia, the stuff that makes you yellow skinned, bilious and not as pain free as your "old country" predecessors, Great Britain, where their practitioners may prescribe and administer heroin for terminally ill persons.

Quaint, and, pun intended, in its own Puritanical way - very sick...
